DOWNSIDE LEGACY AT TWO DEGREES OF PRESIDENT CLINTON
SECTION: GENERAL REFERENCE
SUBSECTION: COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS MISC
Revised 8/28/99

"The Studies Department is one of the country's largest foreign policy think tanks, with over 65 scholars (called "Fellows") and researchers. Their work focuses on those concrete questions where research can add value to the policy debate. Though they have expertise in almost all geographic regions and subject areas, special emphasis is placed on Asia, the international economy, and national security. Younger Fellows are the center of gravity in the Studies Department, with more seasoned Senior Fellows providing guidance and leadership for each area of research. The Fellows and their research associates are based in New York and Washington, but travel frequently to meet with Council members in key U.S. cities..."
